    Re: Deep jigging

    Hey guys and gals

What's the reason for attaching the hook to the front of the jig??? I've see a lot of people doing it, but haven't been told exactly why???

Looks like it'd be a blast tho!

Pretty hard to pick where you guys are at.

My guess is around the nth29's to 35's.

If you would like to explain to all of us the reason, as requested, for the hook setup on those "knife" looking jigs. IT obviously works.

More info:- do you see fish on the sounder, jig the drops, and depth of water ?

OH< and next weeks lotto numbers, if you don't mind. !

    Lucky Phil
A couple of reasons for the set up, Change of jigs is quick and easy, Storage of jigs is hookless and hooking fish this way puts no pressure on the jigs, also this is the way the Japanese do it. All the fish were caught on the same day in the same area, it was a bit blowy in the morning but glassed out about 9.Predator is close to the mark sort of. I still maintain it's the most fun you can have with ya pants on. We went out with a friend who wanted to know how it's done, he got a fair shock the fisrt time he hooked up, was gettin dragged around the back of the boat. Good stuff.
