Another recent catch off catwalk 1770/Agnes Water
Local fisherman Paul caught this Yellowtailed Kingfish on live yakka.

Bloody nice fish that...
Do you know what type of rig was used...that is, did he float the livey, was it set deep or shallow...just curious..

The kingie was caught on a float with a single live bait hook under it. It would not have mattered how it was rigged though. The fish was swimming about two feet off the rocks virtually under our feet. three of us were using lures at the time, as soon as the fish turned up all three of us started madly jigging our lures up and down till paul wound in his live bait. As soon as his bait hit the water it was swallowed idont even think his float had yet hit the water. Exciting stuff.
