Nice pearlie, cant imagine them busting you up though, we've got them up to 5kg or so, you may have had a kingy perhaps???? Muzz
Hey guys and gals
Gee its been a while since i've been on here, things have changed alot.
Well i've finally caught a decent enough fish to put on here, This 3kg pearly engulfed a pillie yesterday out sea in 35 metres of water, got busted up the drop before probably by a bigger pearly, i was lucky enough to get this one in.
Well happy fishing
Cheers

Was only fishing with 10kg line which included the dropper knots being 10kg as well.
doesnt matter, it belted bme on the way down, then when i set back up just hit the bottom and brought this beauty up.

Fair enough, pearlies are definitely a schooling type fish.
Nice one MrLuminous. We had a school of biggish pearlies belt us about a metre off the bottom out at the Banks recently. Couldn't even get our baits right to the bottom without getting smashed. We even changed over to those River2Sea squid jigs and still got hammered. When they're hungry they take some stopping. Hope you get many more.
Cheers
Paul
