Ausfish photo Event  This week its (SNAPPER)

well i reckon its always good to see pics of various fish even if its an old one. So many good fish get put on here and so many poeple dont get to see them due to various reasons.
So i reckon each week we have a different species of fish which everyone can post your biggest sized fish of that species. Dont worry if its not big compared to others we want to see your personal best fish. Its a fun thing and a good chance to post some pics that other poeple may not have seen. I will try to put up a different species each week and at the end of that time the person with biggest or the best pic gets crowned the king of that species Like i said its not a comp but a fun thing.

1 Pic per person and weight of fish will not be taken into fact as it seems a few peoples scales may vary or are alittle out

Any other thoughts please go to Saltwater chat and post there

My best is also 8kg - I have actually caught a few around this size but this is the best of the pics. This one was caught at wide caloundra.

Chico, Ugly isn't it (the fish too ) but there is nothing wrong with it - it is common for snapper to develop both a bump on the head and a prominant swelling on snout.

Snappery Squire caught by my fishing mate, Lillian.
2.5kg from Peel Is last winter.
Hope to "Chisel out" a bigger one myself this year

Pic was taken no more than 30 sec's after fish was pulled from the water.

    Cheers Craig.

For some reason didn't have a pic of me holding it or of it by itself.

Got this one last October just wide of Indian head.

Didn't weigh it but I'm thinking 5-6ish kg.

No it's not mine - but I did gaff if so I get an assist. 1st snapper for the boat. Weighed 9.8kg

Caught in less than 15m of water, in March 04, on a whole pillie, on a 3 gang, on 100lb wire trace by 2 guys with no idea, amongst 3 other boats of fishos who started looking abit shirty.

Needless to say we took turns riding it round the floor of the boat Happy Gilmore style.

And Andrew now only answers to "Snappa King" - keeps a copy of this pic at hand at all times - just in case someone in Australia hasn't seen it already!
