    Video Competition

With the ability now of being able to embed video to your posts I have decided to run a Video Competition.

Videos must be fishing related and comply with the chat board rules and must not contain any copyright content.

Videos are to be posted in to their relevant section of the chat boards with the text "- VIDEO" at the end of the Subject. If it is a Freshwater fishing report video it should be posted in the Freshwater Reports section, Tackle tips video to go into the Tackle section, etc.

Info on how to add a video to your post can be read at the following thread in the Help Section - http://www.ausfish.com.au/forum/YaBB.cgi?num=1159190181

The competition will end at Midnight November 30th 2006. At this stage there will be two major prizes. Am waiting on further details regarding prizes and will announce them as and if they come to hand. The winners will be announced within a week of the competition closing.

Your video must contain the Ausfish Logo at the end for at least 3 seconds. The logo in a 3 second AVI at 320 x 240 format can be downloaded from the following links and edited into your video. Just right click on the link you require and select Save Target As" and then save the file to your computer.

    Hi Steve,
    # # # # # # #Just shot 70 minutes of uncut constant Bass footage on the weekend with running comentary LOL.Almost a fish a cast for the entire lenght. And I would like to know the following :-

If I decide to post on a thread without the logo,Say in the Freshwater section,And not enter the comp.Would the footage be classed as property of Ausfish?

If I post it,I would like to keep this footage as my own.To be veiwed but not copied. Is this possible here?

    Re: Video Competition

    Hi

The statement that all posts, pics, videos posted on the site become the property of Ausfish is there so we can use the info and posts. Just the same as if you send a video into Funniest Home Videos. It does not mean that the copyright is transferred to us. So, you can post the video on the site, using YouTube or whatever and the copyright is still yours.

    Re: Video Competition

What is displayed when you try to view a video?

You will need flash installed to watch Youtube videos, others will need Windows Media player.

Go to http://www.youtube.com and see if you can view videos there.

    Re: Video Competition

ready for a real dumb query,,,,

i take it that after you shoot video,,,you then save footage to putor,,,,,,,,yeh

    then download this to YOUTUBE,,,,,,,,,yeh

then insert download data in image on ausfish and watch,,,,yeh

i havent fully wrapped myself around saving footage to putor yet,,,,i take it there has to be a programme that needs to be installed to allow this and to allow you to edit to attach AUSFISH logo,,,,,,,,,yeh

    i have NTI cd/dvd maker 7,,(whatever that is),,,quicktime player,,(whatever that is),,image mixer 1.1,,,(again,,whatever that is)

i'm certain ive seen media player come up somewhere before,,, but that may have been at work,,

    any help,,,,

    can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE

    Re: Video Competition

You can use Windows Movie Maker or any video editing software.

I think XP comes with Movie Maker.

You would need to RTFM (Read The Manual) on the program that you decide to use to work out how to capture and edit the footage.

    Windows Movie Maker - Download - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...viemaker2.mspx
