These guys put themselves up as the bastion of animal welfare - the saviours of the animal kingdom. These are the people who want to stop us from going fishing - not to save the fish and biodiversity - but because fishing is cruel and hurts fish - who have "emotions and feelings" - what they called sentience.
What about all the animals they slaughter? Well two PETA employees have been caught with a killing van - killing pets including dogs, cats and PONIES and dumping their bodies in industrial garbage bins.
This is not OLD news - it was reported just yesterday...

These guys have sister organisations here in Brisbane - one of them is orca - Organisation for Respect and Compassion for Animals: www.orca.org.au they're current campaign is to stop us from eating eggs.

Still all the same like you said its one of many reported cases and some of the worst kinds of hypocracy.
What I feel total contempt for is they use animal welfare as a front for their vegan lifestyle. I dont mind vegans being vegans - thats their choice but when they try to use certain tactics to enforce their "religion" on others - thats what gets my back up. Meanwhile they're killing the very animals they profess to protect.
