I have seen this unit on special at my local camping store. Has anyone used one? What are they like in comparison to the Chescold units? Do they last? Etc etc Roddy

30 odd litre model? If so it isn't a freezer, only a fridge. I have one for when we are parked in the same place for a while, and so far no worries. Price is certainly right, but don't expect miracles either.

Primus have a three way fridge call a "zero". They are larger models than the chestcolds. They work on the same technology as the chestcolds ... just make sure that they are level and remember that in very hot conditions they do not work as well the compressor... but lets see a compressor model work for ten days without full sun @ a non powered camp..
