Moreton Bay Artificial Reefs
G'day All, planning our first trip into Moreton Bay for about 40 years (yeah, I know) and will be putting in at Jacobs Creek. The idea was to run up to Coochie / Peel and try out the artificial reefs.
Some of the stuff I have been reading states the Coochie reef balls were no longer operative, covered by sand - is that right? I suppose I could try the sunken houseboat...
Any ideas on what might be a chance for one of those finny things, haven't caught one of those for 40 years either! Obviously, any Snapper will be going back and told "I'll be back on the 16th of August".....
Cheers,
BP

Re: Moreton Bay Artificial Reefs
I don't much about that area but if the pods have silted up and been covered some one has not done there research and wasted a lot of money and if that's the case there it might have happened every were they have been deployed.
I hope you have a good fish you should catch something down that way.
