Thread: The prep and painting thread, Caribbean V19

I’m no expert Gazza, but can’t you just get into it with something like a flap disc sander, clean all old pain away and prep and respray. Sounds easiest way to me as you have the entire boat to do.

Looks like you’ll be there forever using stripper that is obviously not doing the job you want.

You do know that threatening behaviour isn’t tolerated here don’t you , watch out a holiday may come your way . After 40 years in the construction industry your threats mean NOTHING , gee you have trouble pulling up an anchor

Yeah that sounds like a better idea Shakey i will search bunnings to see what kind of disc they have to fit the grinder, the paint stripper is not really working

lol- typical gazza, doesnt listen to any guys with past experience and listens to the one guy that prefaces " im no expert - (no disrepect to Shakey)" . Good way to screw up a boat even more- good luck with getting highbuild and primer to cover up grinding marks- judging by the transom this boats going to be worth a mint.... oh- and i'll just label myself as jealous apparently....

    No problem here MATE

It was you that cut the hell out of your hull last time you tried to use a angle grinder
was just reminding you it may not be a good idea to try again the way you did before

We could also run a book on how it will end. Options being - Locked by Mod, Abandoned by Gaz with photo delete, Job completed to Gazza's satisfaction, Job completed to the rest of the board's satisfaction (consensus vote on what is satisfactory)

I'm putting my money on - Locked by Mod by about page 23
