What are your expectations of using a hotter plug?

Thanks to all members for their imput on this thread I have had a bit of a rethink and maybe I am making it all to complicated and the standard fuel and a speed run every 30 mins after trolling is the go as some of you suggest ,bottom line is keep it simple stupid

Just troll until she starts carrying on then give her a blat. If it's like every two stroke I've owned - including the current E-Tec, it will stumble a bit then clear it's throat and away it will go. Bit of high speed for a couple of minutes and away you go again. I did find that running with the engine tilted to remove some of the back pressure did seem to also help with one motor in particular.

Change to surface gap plugs will eliminate the problem.
I've been running them for 3 decades without issue.
10 years out of a plug is pretty normal as well.

Forgot about them but I didn't think low hp motors worked too well with them. They were definitely not recommended in my 30 hp.
