Spent the day offshore Moreton Island
As Finiky said it was bumpy
My friend likes jigging and last trip I took him he got 5 good snapper on jigs - this time they were only onto baits and snapper preferred mullet and pearlies the pilchards and the squid a no show - varies trip to trip.
We did the morning in 75-140m and got our bag limit of snapper and a few pearlies then went to deep-drop for arvo
Outwide was just fishable but nothing showed up to play
Went home with a feed so it was a good day offshore
Only downers were motor issues and broken trailer - both fixable

Maturity is not when we start speaking BIG things,it is when we start understanding small things
I will be targetting snapper down here when my boats ready, surprized to see u caught them in 140m of water our water usually flattens out around the 120-140ft

You did well to punch out to those depths in the sloppy conditions. It started to settle down a bit from lunchtime but would have been a bumpy trip in the morning.
Good to see you got a few for your efforts.

Yeah it seemed to get worse the wider you went
Trip out 32kph to soften the bounce
Return trip was 45-50kph drinking beer - still hanging on a bit
I wanted to make sure that we passed Moreton before dark - just made it
Lots of white caps in the morning and spotlock electric let go a bit but Monday got new Fullriver battery so expecting better next tripSent from my VOG-L09 using Ausfish mobile app
