it would be tricky to feel any sort of major difference between the two.
A question for those running trim tabs or with real world experience with trim tabs.
Boating RV are running a sale and I am tossing up about fitting trim tabs to my Allison Fisherman 175
is there any real or important real world difference between the Lenco and the Bennett electric trim tabs -I am not looking the the hydraulic as I would not be able to place the pump in a suitable position
thanks
Steve
it would be tricky to feel any sort of major difference between the two.
I run the Lenco on a Allison 195 and they were easy to install and work well, I have not experienced Bennet tabs.
One thing you need to be aware of is that if you have duckboards then you will need short actuators as the standard ones will be too long.
thanks Moose and Dignity - yes I would need to the short actuators
I have Lenco ans have a hole thru my duckboards / steps with no issues after many years of use.

What could go wrong.......................
I had that option but after cutting 75 x 35 hole to accommodate the wiring for lights, tabs and pick up for the deck was I found that in sloppy seas offshore I'd get a regular shower as it acted like a geyser when that crnr of the boat rose and fell. I ended up gluing a rubber gasket on to seal it.
Also the Allison has a bit more freeboard there.
Seafarer has any amount of free board and never ever got anything like you described happen.
I had Lindsay's guys fit mine so I had no issue getting the hole cut thru the frp in the correct place.
Lindsay recommended the size (9 x 9) and it works as he said it would.

I have the bennett bolts and they have been great (5 years)
