Yeah diy sounds like a bit of work all that bending, so far in 2.5 years i have been thru 5 tarps at the cost of about $350-$400 im done buying these crap tarps from bunnings and online camping store tarps the one i have now i bought in january from oz camping im lucky it last this long
I may need a pvc tarp about double or tripple the price but they have 10 years warranty over the bunnings tarps that dont even last half the warranty
Think i will go with a proper tarp shop to buy the next one

Im looking at this carport https://www.bunnings.com.au/shelter-...-legs_p0036257 2.8 meters tall at the peak my hull height to gunnels is about 145-150cm so i should still be able to walk around inside the boat just i cant use a t-top with that carport

According to the info it is designed to be used temporarily outside, in other words, it will not last if you leave it outside permanently and you will probably have to tie it down so it doesn't blow away in the wind.
I think the tempararly but is related to the canopy people around my neighborhood have these carports all with no canopies or there torn i was going to chuck a decent tarp over the top

yep thats the one perfect for your build , not bad for 250 reckon
It should cover the boat boat being 5.7m the carport being 6.1m i have decided yo leave the pod off the hull

Yeah its a bit of a root around i didnt design thd pod too well for a long shaft engine with the exterior lip i can only get one bolt thru the transom along the whole bottom
It would be suitable for a extra long shaft pod conversion

At least that removes one of your concerns.
Yeah and after pulling this transom out the top left and right plywood that was not wet actually give me a indication as to how bloody strong my work is that dry bit of plywood was so darn hard to remove
