The actual crab itself and preferably alive but not necessarily so (OK if dead but has been kept on ice).

The guy that did the 2 crabs for Bevan's Crabpot Bar wall now has the crab and has started processing it (since Sunday).

The processing entails chemically removing the flesh inside turning the shell a different colour.

When ready for mounting, the crab is air-brushed back to natural colours.

Also saw a mutant nipper that Bevan has. Local pro had a crab with a mutant claw mounted and put in his crabbing shed. Was throwing a float around in shed one day and hit the mounted crab. Claw broke off and Bevan got it off him.

Mutant claws are always the right hand one and the one Bevan got hold of has 3 nippers developed on the large main r.h. claw.

Looks like something out of "The Mask" with weapons hanging out everywhere.

For those who've never been to Stanage, here's a photo of the pub interior.

Look to the right upper half of photos for 2 mounted crabs on wall. Just click the image and it'll magnify and brighten.
