    Double Island Point.. July 2020

Thursday and Friday look great. Tides are good, wind is down and so is swell.

If I do a day trip , it will be a 5.30 am launch from Tin Can Bay ramp ><>

I do believe there are a few piscatorial creatures with my name on them out there

best of luck with that Phil. Parks and lowlife have added a further permit to Cooloola and to say its a bullshit debacle would be a understatement.
Day Visitors to Cooloola or Bribie Island Recreation Areas (ref: RAA Map)If you are visiting these parks for a day-visit you will require
·Firstly, a COVID-19 RESTRICTED ACCESS AREA AUTHORITY (RAA). This can be obtained free of charge by clicking here.
·Secondly, a current Vehicle Access Permit which can be obtained via the National Parks Booking Service

Honestly, Covid is becoming a joke and is more political now than anything.

Went to plan B. Headed to Hervey Bay and fished Breaksea Spit.

Current was running hard and fish limited, but put together a reasonable bag. Sharks didn't help us much

Glad you got out LP. I was hoping to get there myself but still in therapy with my shoulders although a trip to catch plenty of squid would have been enough.
Oh, I forgot the missus with her arm in a cast I need to be around to help her out so can't get out for more than a day anyway.

Nice fish but I don’t suppose that you have looked at the Qld fisheries site recently?

Nope. But you need more than 8 fingers to keep track of the boat total.
