    Bay Snaps are on

Headed out early Sunday for a quick fish around the tide change and sunrise. Mornings are deinfately getting colder and hard to get you feet in the water when launching the boat.

Great conidtions out there - ligfhts winds and a calm sea though the wind against tide early on was a pain. Deployed the burley trail and the chucked in - second cast the line buckles and takes off like a freight train.

The fish is up and down, under the boat, around teh boat and has all the makings of a shark. This was on a light outfit - 10lb braid with 20 leader and a 3/0 hook so was a good fight. FInally got some colour in the water and luckily it was not shark but a big Snapper. Some fancy net work by my brother in law and it's in the boat - 76 cms of prime bay Snapper.

Things went a little quiet around the tide change but we plugged away for a couple more Snaps in the 40s as well as alot of smaller ones. Then the light line goes bokers again - picking this one for a good Mack after a couple of bite offs and the run it took, Some more fancy angling and the brother in law pulls in a 68cm Snapper.

All in all a good morning with some prime winter Snaps landed.
