    Re: Deep-drop

Funny thing was first fish a green-eyed shark
Then a 3.5m shark circling under the boat - even ste a big puffer fish
Dropped the green-eye when it took it it was like it got hit with a cattle-prod
    Never saw it again

Typically how deep are you fishing. Is their any point in looking at water 150 to 200 meters.

    Re: Deep-drop

Trev u have some really rich soil with all that foliage breaking down on the top they say the darker the soil the richer the quality

I tried doing cert III in horticulture thru oten de many years ago went to one group meeting but felt uncomfortable and the amount of bookwork was masdive so never took it any further

    Re: Deep-drop

I typically start at 250m for barcod and deeper for blue-eye
This one was deeper than 600m
Am hopeful to look 450m to 750m when conditions allow for blue-eye and bass groper
In the 150 to 200 you will get barcod but also in good depth for snapper, pearlies and flames
I get the above off a wreck in 150m except the illusive flames which I am determined to find
