mack tuna - frigate mackerel look very similar but yours has the 3 dots below the pectoral fins
I think it is a Mac Tuna based on the grey line pattern behind the first dorsal fin. Caught trolling a spoon lure this morning in Moreton Bay. Just want to be sure before I add it to my fishing log. Thanks in advance. SS20200416_122931_HDR.jpg

Could also be a Leeping Bonito or what we call in Sydney a Leeping Watson Bonito

And if you look at the brag mat it goes about 75cm which would make it a massive bonito

Thanks everyone for your comments. I cut the Mac Tuna into strip baits for the upcoming snapper season. Let's hope the snapper like them, otherwise will mince into burley. Cherrs SS

Sea we have used them before for bait cant remember what we have caught but for snapper fresh squid is best but hard to catch

Yep Mac Tuna..
My missus hates them..during the winter we catch them when jigging and trolling for Spotties and Spanish Macs...once my bait freezer is full of them I start stashing them in her chest freezer...brilliant red bloody reef bait...
Great strip bait for Tailor also...
