Thread: Fuses ( Yet Again)

    Re: Fuses ( Yet Again)

So I'm assuming that this inline fuse can be placed anywhere as long as its after the battery isolator and before the fuse block or does it need to be as close as possible to the isolator

Place it right at the isolator to protect the full length of the cable.

These look good but a bit pricey and I'm not sure if it would fit to your isolator.

I'm using a yellow blue seas inline one that floats in the breeze although I did solder the wires to it, tightened the little fuse clamp ends and vasolened the fuse/contact joints before sealing it up.

Yep - as close as possible to the isolator - thus protecting as much of the cable as possible. This one or a version of mounted properly has been my go to. You can get them in kit form via ebay and fit the required cable direct into the crimps thus avoiding joins if you wish

Thanks for the help, have enough info to do a schematic of which I'll put up here to get opinions or more importantly to point out any flaws

    Cheers
