    6.2m Kevlacat

Well finally the new motors are on and will be rigged up at the dealers while I知 away for the week and then water test when I get back, will be interested to see the numbers, Harold at Elvacraft did a great job filling all the holes on the transom then re gelcoat, Al and Tim at Seatrek have once again done a first class job modifying the original pods to follow the hull, fabricating the control mount for binnacle and fitting the motors and steering!

Hey Fuzz, looking great, that should push the boat along nicely.
I'll be going the same motor eventually, but maybe go the proX........
Look forward to hearing about performance data and comparrisons..

I'm guessing that now the bottom of the pods follow the hull, the motor heights will be a bit of a guess, when the bottom is higher, the motors are lifted way up, but now it's a different ball game.

You are right as far as guessing where the height will be, I reckon they need to come down a hole but will test them at the position they are and see how they go!

My bet is the motors are just right.

Al and Tim do great work. Their boats are really high quality. I知 happy recommending them to anyone.

Fuzz i thought all boats getting a new engine get tested? They may have already moved the engines up for u, be careful as adjusting may avoid your warranty thru that shop but i donno how it works.. kind of like u altered there preset height and mechanics work

and in saying that. At only 5.9m in length it is a bloody big cat and comparable with a 2400KC in every way and shits all over it for finish and build quality. Would love to go out on a trip with one of each side by side.

Water test is done and everything went perfectly 22knots for a combined fuel usage of 1.5km/L, I知 happy with that, they ended up going with 14x19p enertia props which seem bloody big compared to the old ones! Pods are perfect no spray on the motors and take the extra weight well, so overall very satisfied just need this wind to piss off so I can go be it a big run to the hards
