    Well it doesn't make it self righting but is more likely to stay upright if it takes on water.

    You have to be careful where u place the foam especially if u use portable stoves or place the foam near batteries etc.. foam is highly flamable and it drips furiously really nasty stuff when it catches fire

    Microlene foam floatation is fire resistant. I'm not sure if it is any more flammable than the fiberglass the boat is made from.
