    Thermo-lite?

Anyone know the best place to buy this product? Preferably on the Gold Coast but Brisbane is not much further if there's a saving.

    Re: Thermo-lite?

Thermolite and Coosa board are both top of the range products but both cost a fortune if your doing a boat rebuild look into this stuff called Corelite the americans have been using it for a little while its basically like thermolite without the laminate of woven roving u lay this down your self when u laminate the skin

basically thermolite is like $500 a sheet, Corelite is $225 so your pretty much doubling the price for a woven roving laminate....

For anyone interested in coosa or thermolite its even coming out.with different factory branded names now all it is is 80kg m3 high density foam with a layer of 600gram woven roving than another thin layer of high density foam they also have a layer of continoues glass string for binding

    Re: Thermo-lite?

Haines Signature offers a choice of plywood or thermolite construction. Interestingly they give a 5 year warranty for thermolite boats and 10 years for those built with plywood. Apparently they don't think the thermolite is as strong.
