    Nice work , would like to have a shot at a deep drop some day, what did you need in terms of set up and gear.

    electric reel, i got a Tanacom 1000, 80 to 100 lbs rod and heaps of braid/weight. You can buy premade deep drop rigs but nothing special just 3 way swivels with big circles and 250 lbs plus line. These fish were caught in 380m off the goldie

    It's to late now but next time you get a fish like that cut the cheeks out of the fish they will taste very nice.

    That's one thing I'm slowly gearing up for, out of the SPB. I'm a bit limited as only have 5.5 meter center console and tanacom 750.
    Will need to choose my days carefully, as its roughly 32 km due east of the bar.
    What are the main target species and will I get them 200 meters or less.
