Recently seen 2 big trucks towing wide loads without a car in front and a car behind have our rules changed in NSW? does this mean its easier to tow a wide load 2.8m Bertrum down to the ramp? alot of guys are stuck around the 2.45 mark in width so just wondering
Ahh ok maybe that is the case for NSW too, One truck looked very close if not on 3.5 but hewas a solo trucky taking up 2 lanes the whole way down the highway so thought it was very strange
3.5m wide x 4.8m tall it is just a permit and travel between 9am and 3pm around towns.
Wider than 3.5m requires escorts, wider than 5m requires police escorts.
Jack.
Thanks Tuna that explains it, i can never recall seeing a wide load without escorts so when i seen 2 in a week i thought maybe our road rules changed
if your boat is wider than 2.5 mtr youll need to flag it up and signage, cant travel at night
