    Gold Coast Tuesday

It looked like too good of a day to pass up so the decision was made on Monday night to head out off the Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Getting up at 3 we were down the coast and on the water just after first light to good conditions with only a small swell the headed out to the 24s. Found it a little quiet but got a couple of 40cm Snappers on the float line and a small reef shark.

We then headed out to the SE 36s and found allot of activity on the sounder with the first drop producing fish - Sgt Bakers unfortunately. With little current we fished light and soon had a couple more Snaps onboard and a couple of decent size Flathead.

A couple more drifts we were at our fish limit with the smallest kept just over 40cm and the largest going just over 60cm. We tried to target Pearlies after that but they were all pretty small examples so went back. The decision was made to troll back incase there were some Tuna around which made for a nice leasurely trip back through the Seaway.

Highlight of the day was a full size Humpback breaching 50m of the side of the boat - nearly sh%t myself but an awesome sight!
