Jigstar twisted sista/ jigging master super tornado

    Hello all,

looking to buy a new jigging rod after receiving a new jigging master power spell pe5 reel for my 50th. Does anyone have any experience with these “spiral guide” type rods. Want to use it for bottom bashing as well as jigging. I have my trusty Saltiga 30z on a Saltiga hiramasa 57b which I love and was considering another heavier Saltiga rod and came across these rods.

Pro’s and con’s on the spiral guide vs conventional would be appreciated.

Ducks, i've done a bit of rob building over the years for myself. Over time i've ended up building all my own botton bashing style rods and jig sticks in spiral format. I really like spirals for a couple of reasons

    - i mostly fish with overheads, spirals mean less toirque on the rod when under pressure, no twist, great if your winding sinkers up and down or working a jig
    - less annoyning line twist wrap around the tip

They just work well, look bit weird but good things in my opinion

Thanks Scott. Just ordered a Jigstar Twisted sista pe3-6. Watched a couple of YouTube clips and had me sold.
