Gday guys, just a quick report from yes-today’s trip.
I had been getting a very helpful bit of info from a fellow Ausfisher who also gave me a mark to try - spot "X". I won’t name this person but he knows who it is "John Doe". His info has been priceless (free) !!!!!
We went out from Mooloolaba predawn - it was calm in close and bumpy wider
I was using mullet (my favourite) and he was using squid and pilchards. After his 6th snapper and my zero I started adding squid to the mullet and immediately got snapper
We had a good day - baglimit reached with bigger pearlies 9lb and 10lb
In the spirit of the proposed new legal size for pearlies we released every fish under 40cm - the big fat dolphin was impressed
A couple of meals there(that shouldn't get challenged)

Great trip. I had to pass on getting out Sat as Fri was my 45th wedding anniversary so had a heavy night and wasn't able to go out. Trev, will have to get together one day.

Hmmm...Is it considered cheating when you dont have to figure out the wind and current to be able to anchor on that awesome mark though...
