How wet are haines signature boats

Saw a post some time ago about haines signatures being wet when you slow them down in rougher water they become a very wet boat. Is this the case? Just how good is the ride compared to say a cruise craft? Any other thoughts on signature boats. Looking up to 5.45m with the narrower beam than the bigger and wider 550+ series

Can’t comment on the smaller sigs, but I owned a 632f that was a terrific boat in all conditions driven at any speed and can’t recall it ever being a “wet” boat. My Barcrusher on the other hand.............I’ll leave it there.

They aren't a wet boat. The 5.5m hull is excellent.

I had a 492f fantastic boat. Definitely not a wet boat even in lumpy seas.

I have the 550 and I would not call it a wet boat but will say they are light and have a tendency to leap out of the water a little. I rate my boat side on or in a following sea into the waves I think a heavier deeper V or traditional hull design handles better.

Doesn't the 550 wave a hull weight of 900kg? Do you know of a heavier 5.5m boat?

I don’t think the cootacraft gunshot comes in at 900kg “Hull only” which I believe is the heaviest 18ft boat on the market. Pretty sure my 632f was 900-1000kg hull only. Someone will correct me here if I’m wrong.

Yep certainly a different beast to my 550c. Extra weight would make it a great boat
