Finally took the plunge and bought a new Minn Kota 80lb 72” motor. Picked it up today along with the circuit breaker. Just waiting for the 2 x LiFePo4 120amp batteries to be delivered before tackling the install.
Anyone install one and would install it differently if they had the chance? I’ve got a centre console and going to install the batteries right up the front centre behind the anchor well. I just have to work out how to mount them there.
Haven’t even opened the box box yet lol

Was on a nice boat today that was running an electric motor and like he said, “It’s a game changer”. You are sitting on the fish the whole time, unlike drifting and trying to anchor on the exact spot. We bagged out on a few species by lunchtime... can’t wait to hook mine up when the batteries get delivered.
