Hi there, I was wondering whether there were lights at night at the Pimpama boat ramp and what was the theft like there if I left my car and trailer there until midnight?

Hahahaha , ok so risk is very high. Is there a light there at night?
Also if I go from the ramp in Coomera river across from Sanctuary Cove and then travel the north arm of the Coomera, am I able to take the shortcut to the north through to Pimpama River at low tide? Or do I have to go the long way around to the main channel beside Sth Straddie and then north and then west into Pimpama? Google Maps is not very clear.

There are lights there. Ive fished many Coomera and Jacobs Well ramps til past midnight and never had a problem. Ive done 400 trips over 10 years til midnight and never had an issue. Just make sure there is noting loose that can be seen in the car, no clothes, bags, etc that might look worth stealing. Use a padlock to chain the trailer to your car. There are theives around all ramps, but if you convince them that other cars or trailers are an easier target, you will be ok.
The shortcut is almost not passable at low tide. try it in daylight first. The whole north arm of coomera is tricky in the dark, but OK once you know it. If you are keen on fishing Pimpama at night, then use the Pimpama ramp. If you are not comfortable with this ramp being isolated, then use Jacobs Well or Paradise Point, not Foxwell rd.
Fishing- It's only an addiction if you're trying to quit.
Thanks for the info Gecko. You sound a bit more optomistic. My car and trailer has all the locks possible and i may even get a flashing red dash light connected to a hidden kill switch. that makes it hard to steal the car. I might get some more solid padlocks for the chains. I also have the other lock already for the ball. It all makes it harder for them. As long as there are lights at Pimpama ramp I will give it a go.
@ Bonus.
If you launch from Jacobs Well its better policed than the other ramps.
