Just a heads up folks about the " Orange Zone " around One Tree Reef. Although encompassed by a Green Zone, there is an Orange Zone in closer, which means NO NOTHING.. not even driving though, Yes, even " boating " will attract a heavy fine. So if you are traveling from Lamont to Sykes,,,, steer clear. ><>

Well folks, it is about 14 days until we hit the land of honey and red fish.

FYI, I did a quick trip there weekend just gone. Weather was too spectacular to not go.

Radio chatter said it was slow going with no current, but I bagged out. ( CRFF ) Fishing 65 - 85 mtrs deep NNE of Fitzroy Reef in 1 - 2 knots of wind and even less current, but the fish chewed late Saturday and very early Sunday.

Sharks were a problem in the shallower waters ( 40 - 50mtrs ). The bar is OK an hour either side of low tide... keep it on the plane

I'll put up couple of photos, cause we all know what fish look like
