down south offshore is a bit more lumpy and as good as the blade hull sounds, i dont think you be game to take a 420 out any further than 4-5 miles.
i nearly fell of the couch when i saw the hire rates on those boats.
I'm glad someone mentioned it...even a kayak is fine if the ocean is calm..
Up here on any decent 5/10kn days during Mackie season we have any number of 4m tinnies zipping around the inshore islands and bait grounds up to 20kms out...15kn thins them right out and what we regard as "offshore" is the reef and beyond at 40-90 km's out...
These boats look great if you really do want to get out wide in safety and split the costs with a few mates...

Was told NZ was 400km's off Sydney i now see its over 2,200km's
how come we dont get any kiwi boat people cmon from over the diiiitch.
Inver i have never been out of Oz only seen 400km's on Hook Line an Sinker but i see NZ is over 2,200km's from Sydney
As good as the renegade is, i deffinetly wouldnt consider it an off shore boat. Even when the forecast is favourable, i wouldnt go too far. If most of your fishing is subject to crap weather, a 460 is a better option. Saying a boat is capable is not the same as doing it. Both from a safety point and comfort perspective.
thats a serious question ?
they have secure ports and border control and isnt a third world country
its also a very nice place
also p&0 and other cruise lines bring in thousands every year
yeah nah , give me a 460 renegade and then i know im half decent to get back in on a run out tide
I have been looking at a external boat coller, just to good to believe for the cost they look the go for an old salt like me getting a new 4.6 quinny.
I wouldn't bother, get the boat and give it a go first, it will be fine.
