Hi everyone,
I took my wife, dog and nephew out for a fish today. Headed out through the bar about 6am without too much trouble. Once through the bar we jigged for some bait and with a few in the tank we headed out to a pearlie spot in 60m. On the way out we saw plenty of boats around 9 mile (I think) but not many at all once we got out.
we did a couple of drifts and pulled in a few pearlies but nothing special. We headed north looking for some new ground and we ended up throwing the anchor over and getting a burley trail going with chopped up pillies.
It it wasn’t long before the nephew boats a nice 76cm nobby, was a great fish. Three more hit the deck slightly under that size but all quality fish.
We wrapped up and headed back in through the bar at 4:30pm. By then the bar was breaking all along it but we just sat on the back of a wave and rode it in. Overall a great day out on the water.

Yes it was nice and calm out there and very warm. Sat on 18-20kn on the way back taking 1hr.

Sounds like you fish similar areas to me.
Good to see they are biting. A couple more weeks on some home Reno’s, and I’ll be out trying for some my self.
Nice one Ocifer, i'm a bit like rtp in that once my daughters kitchen is in i'm back out there. Good to see you look after your dog with a lift jacket.
