    Land Based Spinning

    Hello,

Every year for the last 3 years, a group of us have been travelling to the Eastern side of Fraser to do land based spinning. We have had decent success with Taylor and a couple small GT, but this last year we decided maybe its time to try somewhere new.

The majority of us live on the Gold Coast, so travelling far up North isn't such a great option (although most of us would if we could) so we were looking for other Fraser Island distance type destinations. Please could anyone with any good suggestions let me know. Happy to travel either North or South of the Gold Coast. We mostly spin with large hard bodies and metal spoons.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Double Island Point can produce some reasonable fish.
Moreton Island and Stradbroke Island have a bit more diversity.
Iluka and Yamba areas are worth the run too.
    Jack.
