    I spend all day maintaining steel tug boats Gazza...…….there is nothing right about the combination of steel and saltwater (or fresh water for that matter). You can not stop rust IMO - more so once bolts are introduced. If you are happy to maintain and periodically replace, weight will be the only real downside.....oh and the rust stain.

    Scottar yeah I'm going alloy and hopefully just make the internal structure like a maze and hopefully it will be strong enough
