    Auto Inflatable PFD's

    Didnt we recently have thread regarding wothwhile reservicing your own or just go buy a newy regarding price of Auto PFD paRTS ???...
    I have been given an auto PFD but 2014 stamped on its expiry date ...
    With specials on at the Mo im thinking ?? , with what left i have to think with ...

    Hi.

    Slightly cheaper to service yourself.
    Probably a few days wait this time of year.
    I think some models do not allow self-service.

    I self-service year 1 and year 3; and pay expert to do year 2 and 4 as they have equipment to do a better pressure test.

    If approx 5 years and looking tatty then maybe throw.

    Self service until the record chart in the PFD is full, or it looks past it then keep an eye out for specials.


    Most of my Money is spent on Booze and Fishin.
    The Rest is just Wasted!

    If the chart on the PFD is full keep a log in a notebook onboard which can be produced on demand. No need to throw away a good PFD.
