    Anyone used the new Furuno GP-1971f MFD?

    Hi all,

    We’re just about to pull the trigger on one of these:

    Anyone used one? Any thoughts?

    Yeah it seems to be - was originally looking at the FCV-628 and came across this. It meant less devices on my small dash.

    Seems to certainly fill that missing gap in their product line up.

    I just sold my boat after 14 yrs and it had the fcv620 from the time they came in the country and I loved it and I was looking to upgrade and was going to look at Garmin but this is what I was waiting for . It certainly is hi on my list if I buy a new boat in future . Matt

    They are basically a cut back version of Navnet TZ2. Nice bit of kit. Only blue they made was not making it big enough to cover the hole left by a GP7000f IMO.

    That’s basically it - It’s Navnet TZ2T in a smaller form. Great for us, as it’s got all the features we want but at half the price and it includes maps and transducer.

    If so how do you find it and what depths are you using it?
    do you run the 600w tranny?
