New vs old Minn Kota ipilot

Has anyone changed from the last model to the new model of ipilot and can comment on whether it is worth the upgrade for better spot lock and other features?

I have the Ipilot bluetooth with heading sensor. Awesome kit. Holds on a square foot easily in adverse conditions. In fact most of the time it feels like it doesnt move at all unless caught out by a big gusto and its quick to react. I love the direction hold that takes into account current and wind and cruise control. 55lb Riptide. Never had the previous version.

Much better unit - quieter & the spot lock is a big improvement with the heading sensor .

i had a terrover and have just bought a motorguide x15 the spot lock is so much better then the minkota in terms of a tighter area of holding

Yeah but the new Minn Kota ipilot with Bluetooth heading sensor is a lot better than the previous spot lock and said to be the leader again. Cheers

I have seen a few tests side by side and read bucket loads over the last year or so. I'm sure the motorguide is good but my point mainly is that the new bluetooth MK is the one to compare it to, not the older MK. Cheers
