Well done mate that would have put a smile on their dial
I took a few fellas down the Pin on Thursday targeting Flatties and some Whiting. Our goal was to catch 2 of my crew there first flathead ever let alone on soft plastics.Richard visiting from the UK,is a competition fresh water angler sponsored by Daiwa back home.I think he said he mainly targets a fish called a “Barbell”. Mike,a expat Canadian has extensively Fly Fished. Both fellas caught a few Flathead each during there first plastic session ever with Richard’s second going 58cm.Not bad for the second Flattie he has ever caught...We also pumped some Yabbies and managed a couple of nice Whiting 30-34 cm, a couple of 28-30cm Bream and a few Winter Whiting.Even though it was little windy it fantastic to get the boys there first lure caught fish in Oz.Flatties caught on Squidgy Wrigglers,Powerbait minnows etc in different colours.

bet they where happy with that however, perhaps raising the bar a little and seeing as they are very seasoned fisherman, perhaps a true test of wit in the chase of some luderick on weed or perhaps the very shy jewfish to target..... perhaps next time they visit.
