Usually there is a tag on the cable with the airmar units.
I have recently purchased a second hand boat approx. 6mths old. The boat has a Garmin 7312xsv chart plotter with combination sonar. It also has 2 x transom mount transducers installed.
Transducer number 1 is produced by Airmar. It is the shape and size of a TM260 but there are a number of other models which look the same.
Transducer number 2 is a Garmin transducer - grey in colour, approx. 200mm long and 35-40mm wide.
I have checked the configuration of the sonar on the chart plotter and the settings for "traditional, clearvu, and sidevu" are all set to Airmar B285 .
I would appreciate any advice as to how I can confirm the transducer models I have installed as I cannot find any identifying codes on the units..
Usually there is a tag on the cable with the airmar units.
Thx ... I'll investigate further behind the dash panel ...

the gray transducer will be a garmin GT CV transducer "post navico law suit". it could be one of about 6 models. does it have an orange or blue plug?
... will check and advise ...

Scottar,
… checked the cable … the only tag I could find was to do with wiring … any other ideas ? … I will try my boat service agent and see if they can help …

Airmar label examples - it's usually within a metre or so of the plug
http://www.gemeco.com/tid.php
so the 12pin organge gray transducer will be a
GT40 OR 41 OR 50 OR 51 with clearVu "side/down high frequency imaging"
Does the airmar transducer have a blue or orange plug?

Thx Chocolatemoose … I'll check and let you know … based on the transducer size (refer my original post), I am thinking it may be a GT30 … what do you think ?
