Lowrance GPS loses power in rough seas
Hi all I have a 5200 chart plotter that in rough seas continues to switch off after hitting big waves. Would this be a wiring isssue or something wrong inside the unit. Is there a fix for this? By the way unit is now dash mounted. Brett

Could be either. Check / replace connections and fuse holders as a first point of call

Check power and earth, Will be the issue in those connections more than likely,
Easiest way is to replace these connections then see what happens,

Another thing to check re bad power connection is are all the cables behind the dash secure. Eg make sure they are all (the loom of cables) secured and not all hanging off one or two cables. This can pull connectors apart.
Saltwater fishing, boat mad but has a job that gets in the way.
