be interested to know what they charge ?
As Noel said - most brands you can do yourself …… then after 3 or 4 years ……. toss it & buy a new one as at around that age you really need to replace the cylinder & they start to become a bit ratty anyhow .

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Some of then have detailed instructions including the weight specs of the gas canister. Cheers

Check the manufacturers website for instructions on self servicing.
You’ll find all the gas canisters will have their gross weight stamped on them. When you service the jackets you need to confirm the weight +-2 gm. If there is any corrosion at all on the canister it’s a bin job.

Hi,
Thanks for your help everyone.
I took them to Marine Safe in Slacks Creek.
I think was approx $30 each (I got other stuff & invoice did not give breakdown), normally takes a day or so.
I like to get professionally serviced every 3rd year.
Apparently white powdery corrosion on canisters maybe ok, change if any other corrosion.
These have only seen freshwater up until this year … but I agree throw as soon as they get ratty as relatively cheap.
