I have some weird plan in my head for my boat i plan on rigging up a little diy spit possibly over the top of my bait board to cook some chooks or lamb on put it on around lunch time and have it a few hours later, we do long stints some days we will go out fish throughout the day than the night and come home early that morning
food is our biggest problem with current boats no where to cook and or its near the fuel tank or breather
a bait board can double in winter to run a small stove top gas heater to warm up your hands its a good location because nothing is near it that can catch fire
looks sweet will the tray fit a slab of pillies or box of squid?
i'd look at an LED strip in the back wall
assuming rod holders in the outer gunnels
needs a front splash back and a towel rack
edges are flat and nice to add personal touches to for customers
any thoughts on the RRP

so that led is just filler material to make a nice radious for the mould. this is still the plug being made
the sink was just an easy to way to make a nice smooth sink without having to fabricate it ourselves. there is a few sinks/draw/bbq options we are planning
On top will be various surfaces depending on use. so yep we will be having a lip/drain on top.
The wider sides are designed to accomodate recessed stainless cup holders and cast rod holders at the end.
As for design and colours.. watch this space

I dunno about you guys, but I find 9 out of 10 nights, it’s too breezy to cook out the back in the position you’d put a bait board?
So some updates on our baitboard project.
the plug is all laid and primed. will get to paint this weekend, then let it sit for a week to go nice and hard before the tooling gelcoat goes down and we pop off the mold.
we also have been sampling different finnishes for the table top. this is a compact laminate surface that affords different finishes, whilst being weatherproof. its a harder material, likley to blunt knives so we plan to offer it with a custom chopping board " but worth it for the classy finish
Love your work ChocolateMoose keep the pictures rollin on in, looks like u are putting in a lot of hours to make that mould
