    Blue Fin 4.5 open dingy

Hi all what are the 4.5 Colts like. Look solid (3mm bottom and 2mm side) from early in their production life. 40hp 2 stroke should be lively enough for 2-3 boofheads?

    Cheers

I have the 4.5 predator 3mm all over with a 60 hP 2 stroke ,a 50 is ok but I think a 40 would struggle but take it for a ride and see what you think .. matt

Took it for a spin. The 40hp Tohatsu started very quickly from cold and went hard popping the boat, battery, 2 full fuel tanks (50l total), 2 spare wheels and tyres and safety gear etc and 3 heavy blokes up onto the plane easily and quickly. Impressive torque. Boat purchased.... fantastic build quality. Welds are excellent. Impressive gusseting etc. I am keen to add an electric. Cheers

Just about to do the wiring properly. 50m of twin flex tinned 4mm for lights and bilge pumps. Using PVC to run wires including heavy battery wires and leccy motor wires for and aft under the false floor...attached to Big hardwood bearer pictured. Cheers
