    East of Moreton

What a cracking day on the water. Watching the sun rise over Moreton is a great way to start the day, especially with the boat at full noise on a flat bay.
Had to Zig Zag our way east of the Cape. Don't those whales know we are in a hurry to drop lines!!

Plenty of shows on the sounder, but no takers. Drifted, redrifted and still no scales.
Not a lot of current which was great, especially with a slight SW'er.
Kept working our way South trying different marks, and still nothing.
Finally got some action in the afternoon, and then a few snapper and pearlies hit the esky.
Pulled them out of 80 metres.

The best fish went 3Kg, and was caught by my 11yr old son.
It's his PB at 63cm, and he was stoked.
Was worth all the effort just to see him hold up that fish.

Headed back in glassed out conditions.
Can't wait for the next trip, and there's already talk about bettering the PB.

    Cheers
    Thommo
