    Yamaha oil filter

I have twin 2006 Yamaha 60hp 4 stroke motors, does anyone know what the eqivalent Ryco oil filter number is for these motors?
Also does anyone source the fibre washers for gearbox and sump plug from anywhere other than genuine parts?

The info may be hard to get from a Yam Dealer but if you can that might help you getting the right one..
Fibre washers, Bunnings sell a pack of them in Different sizes...

Do you know someone in the marine game?

They might be able to buy for you from here.

Just take the filter off and walk into the local parts store. Measure seal diameter and height. Then check thread pitch.

Should be a common motor that will match.

    Thank's for the replies
Saw the packs of fibre washers at Bunning, you get about 20 for $5 ( igot quoted $4.60 of one oil plug washer from a marine dealer) i will compare with some originals and see if i can get the right size and really make sure they are the same material.
I will contact a mate who used to use the Ryco equivalent in his Yammy 115hp (pretty sure its the same filter for the 60hp as well), a while back he did send me an email with the number, but i have lost the email. In the end probably not much differance in price as some of the Ryco's have jumped up in price lately, will see,

You can do a dimensions search on Ryco web site. Just follow the measurements, and fill in the details.

Can't say I would use after market filters when there is plenty of stories around about failures due to them not being "exactly" the same, mind you, I get a pretty good discount on bits and pieces from my local guy, so, the temptation is less!
