Worked pretty hard but ended up with our bag of pearlies up to 600mm and a couple of pigfish. Got a big cod too which was released. Anyone know what type of cod??
Flat as with no current (running slightly north if anything) and home at 30 plus knots. Gotta love those days!

Hi mate, were you at the 50s North , I was up there and got a few pearlies and snapper but was busted up a few times by sharks (I think)
both on the float lines and the bottom bashers, was a great day out there all the same.
Yea 50s NE. I was just bottom bashing. A mate of mine showed up as i was leaving and got a few to but hooked a marlin on a float line. Did a couple of jumps then busted off.

From my reserch its a black rock cod and is protected in NSW. Nothing in QLD i believe.
