Do any of the guys who have been before have a GPS track that us first timers could use to follow in and out?
100% correct.
North west from the ramp about 1km, there is a massive rock that sits just below the high tide mark.. very nasty. I'd imagine slot if tinnys would have had close calls there.

Bit of info on Stanage Bay ( actual name of village is Plumtree).
G/E screenshot of of waters just off the boat ramp.
There's not just 1 large rock that you need to watch out for. Quite a few actually and some sandbars in the stretch between the ramp and Hell's Gate. Nasty places to be caught on due to s/e winds (most times) coming in low over the mainland "saddle" .
Got more info if wanted.

Holy thread dig! Old mate was chasing that info three years ago!!
I also have been guilty of doing that, replying to a thread and not checking when it was posted! At least it may help someone in the future!
Thanks CT.
I knew it was a couple of years old but the popularity of Stanage hasn't waned. People still ring about info there.
So I started a new post about Stanage and put a fair bit of info on it for new visitors.
Haven't been east and south though. Long way in a 4.4m boat and nowhere to hide when weather turns crook (as it can do quickly there).
Have to be aware of GBR zonings on the eastern side of Stanage.
