Upgarding from stabicraft 2050 Supercab /riviera 34 flybridge, 3000 offshore, bertram

Hi Guys
I have had my stabicraft since new and have recently moved to cairns
Did an overnighter last weekend with my little girl and its obviously not really suited for that.

Love the handling of the boat, the speed (I can cruise at 40kmh at .6L an hour)

wife has given me the OK to sell it and upgrade to a larger boat that will sleep 4 people comfortably.

I started looking at pre 1990 bertrams but realised I can get into a 1997-2000 riviera 34 platinum flybridge for around the $150-$170K mark and to me they look like they fit my requirements pretty good

having searched this forum I noted a few others also like the 3000 offshore.

I understand I will need to pay mooring fees and a lot more in upkeep on this big style of boat

Its really a fishing boat, not doing long range only (under 80km off shore) but I will need beds for at least 4 and the wife prefers something with air con (though this is not the highest on my list of priorities)

Being my first big boat I had hoped to keep it under $200K but could stretch a little more for the right boat

Really want something that is "economical" understanding that these big boats weigh in excess of 10T

if any of you have some suggestions on models etc that would be appreciated

economical for what it is
sleeps 4+
flybridge not super important
something that has decent resale (dont want to get stuck with it)

scimitar 1010 preferbly with yanmars. check reviews but cruise at 16 -18 knots at 30lph combined. not bad for size of boat. excellent resale. traditional planing monos you're gonna hurt big time.

or you can go good trailerable. cairns you have the option of the inlet and rivers but if you're going marina you are talking 80 bucks a week minimum. for that on my incomes id rather x0s trailerboat or even boat at yorkes dry storage? dont know what that costs. anyway consider a large trailer boat. buys you a lot of boat without the 10 - 15k before you pass go bill of mooring. for example a flybridge blackwatch 26 (or sedan for that matter) just for giggles check out the whittley sl28 turbo diesel on youtube. d4 powered. sleeps 4, aircoon, economical, trailerable and legal even in qld. watch things like big yank boats and bertram over 23 ft as overwidth = problems with insurance. allright if in a storage yard with launch trailer or maybe ok if you can get yearly permit. big yank boats will sleep 4. seaswirl striper 23-26 but overwidth. still id rather deal with that than mooring and 80 LPH cruise. but if you have those pockes go for it. you know once you go big you can fish from the dingy as well. something like a sailing cat (seawing 10 for example) IS A GREAT FAMILY BOAT WHERE YOU CAN STILL SAIL TO THE REEF AND FISH AND DIVE ETC DEPENDING ON WHAT YOUR NEEDS ARE... sorrycaps

thanks for the replies. That whittley is amazing!
I have put a lot of thought into it and I really want something that is on the water ready to go. Understand about mooring fees and upkeep but I think the pros outweigh the cons (my trailer boat is stored 30 minutes away its a pain the bum getting it, packing it, taking it back etc.
