    Over voltage alarm

Well had a short trip out today, was launching the boat this morning and the boat took a bit to get off as it does sometimes (drive on drive off with skids), so gave it a little bit off stick in reverse to get off the trailer when the over voltage alarm went off.
As the boat came off the trailer back into idle alarm cleared, thought all was good.
Then idled out of spinnaker marina into the passage and opened up throttle and off went the alarm again.
At idle voltage was about 14 volts with throttle it was around 15.5.
    Engine is a 2014 150 Mercury 4 stroke.
I'm thinking maybe a regulator has failed?? Any ideas?

    Definitely a regulator issue!!!

do not keep using it or you will be replacing more than just a regulator!
